More Night Escapades

More images of leaves at night. Depending on the type of tree, the effects can be rather different.

Day Trip

This weekend was gorgeous and I took the opportunity to walk around. Luckily, some leaves are still in their autumn glory. Aren't the colors just stunning?

Morning Glory

Although I like morning glories and have taken plenty of pictures of them (stay tuned...), the morning glory for today really refers to the beautiful leaves I see every morning in their crimson and orange splendor.

Indian Summer

With the advent of fall, streets are constantly being transformed into fantastical settings that delight the visual senses. Today was especially warm and sunny.

What's in a Name

Everyone has run into someone like me before. I am one of those people that stops abruptly in the middle of the sidewalk to take out a camera and take pictures, drawing attention to myself as either a stereotypical Asian tourist or an eccentric botanist, when in fact I am neither (well, the tourist and botanist part anyway).

I am sure, however, that most people have also paused one time or another to admire nature, especially in urban areas where anything organic and wild comes off as out-of-place and somewhat exotic. I simply go a step further and try to document these glimpses of natural beauty on camera. With Curbside Flowers, I hope to share what I see when I stop to take a picture in the streets. Naturally, the colors will never be as vivid or as moving as in real life, but then again, how can anyone hope to capture God's wonderful creations in mere pixels?

I hope that the images I post will delight you and remind you, regardless of how busy you are, to take some time out to "smell the roses."
